Living in a metropolis

The range of vacancies in Berlin combined with the pleasant living conditions of a metropolis make working abroad extra attractive. Living in Germany in this dynamic city does not really feel like emigrating. Nevertheless, the German culture is not entirely comparable to that of other European cities. For example, when it comes to the hierarchical relationships at work. Life itself is so adventurous if you make it yourself.

Berlin really has everything to offer when it comes to culture, going out and creativity. By the way, if you're going to live not far from work, it's handy to buy a bike. Make sure you have a good lock, because bikes are quickly stolen. Of course it is always possible to take the metro, bus or tram to work. In your free time after work, a world opens up for you. Visit one of the many theatres or one of the many museums.

Do you prefer shopping? Then of course you go to the Kurfürstendamm with international clothing chains and exclusive fashion houses. Or go to KaDeWe, Berlin's most famous department store. The Potsdamer Platz Arkaden is a trendy shopping mall and in this area there are many cinemas and restaurants. On weekends on Sundays it's nice to go to the Mauerpark. Here is every week a large and famous flea market. In the afternoon there is also karaoke.

The nightlife in Berlin has something for everyone. From gigantic techno parties to going out in a bar. A well-known club where it is difficult to get in is Berghain. If you like techno, Watergate and Matrix are great alternatives. By the way, most clubs are located in the east of Berlin, such as in the Mitte district. Nice to know is that there are no closing times in Berlin. The busiest nights to go out are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. By the way, do you see a lot of people on the street with a drink in their hands? That's quite normal in Berlin and this way is known as "Fußpils", say a beer for the road.
