It is the responsibility of the technical assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support
to the regional technical service team.
The technical assistant also works with the central technical team to ensure that central system
databases are maintained and project implementations are carried out at the regional level.

Provide comprehensive administrative and back office support to the technical team
Prepare and monitor procedures in order to facilitate the smooth function of the technical
Focal point to meet requests from the Central Technical team.
Ensuring that central databases or other locally used databases are accurately maintained
and updated on a regular basis
Maintain a proper and user friendly filing and document control system for recording and
tracking of all documents
Assist technical team in preparing Lubricant Recommendations Schedules (LRS) for
customers’ vessels including making recommendations regarding the use of products on
board ships according to Marine Technical Database (MTD).
Regional point of contact for creation and updating of customer’s access and credentials for
the Caremax digital portal.
Meeting key performance indicators established by the regional technical services manager.
Organisation of customer/internal Training and events.
Support the Technical Service Engineers in embedding within the team and fulfilling agreed
specific Product Quality & Compliance accountabilities.
Compile Time Value App data of regional TSE teams on a periodical basis and share the
snapshot with Regional Technical services manager
Generating product and vessel reports from the GME business intelligence tools (BOSS
/INSITE) on request from Technical manager/Engineer.
Manage stocks of technical literature and promotional products.
Monitor inventory of technical items (sample kits, test kits & reagents) as applicable.
Maintain and update regional technical database (eg. PPE tracker) or systems.
Manage & monitor PO’s and invoices of UOA /SDA of customers where not performed through the central Global Business Services (GBS) function.
Any technical qualification would be an advantage.
