Microsoft Developer Center Norway, with Offices in Oslo, Trondheim and Tromsø, is part of the Experiences and Devices division within Microsoft and is a nexus of information sharing across applications inside of Microsoft 365 (M365). We are transforming M365 to an intelligent fabric, powering user facing experiences centered around files, feed, search, and people.

The Position

We are looking for a (senior) product manager to join the MDCN team, developing the Microsoft People System. A product manager sets direction, navigates priorities, and creates roadmaps for features and products. The product manager works closely with engineering teams on planning and executing work and coordinates deliverables with partner teams - both within MDCN and to a large portion with other development teams in the US, UK, Africa and India. The ideal product manager is a customer-oriented person with strong product and project management skills, solid technical understanding, and great personal skills for coordination with engineering teams and partner teams in Norway and elsewhere.

 

You will work with a team of developers, data scientists, and architects responsible for every stage of the software development lifecycle – from early design to implementation, roll-out, monitoring, and scaling. Microsoft services run with low latency and industry-leading availability and reliability, and we operate our services with a devops model where you will be responsible for high service quality together with the rest of your team. Your features will be powering experiences used by hundreds of millions of users every day and you’ll get ample opportunity to be challenged across every dimension of software engineering in a highly distributed system.
