We are looking for a Sr Director of Centralized Data Capabilities within Commercial Analytics to join the Nike team! This role will craft, influence and implement a vision for development of scalable, central data capabilities and products supporting key Nike, Inc strategies and the continued adoption and utilization of Global data products and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in the design of scalable data architecture and implementing in large-scale enterprise projects. This role will be at the forefront of incorporating Nike’s Consumer Direct Acceleration [CDA] into analytics and will partner with Strategic Enterprise Capabilities [SEC] and Enterprise Data & Analytics [ED&A] leaders to support highest priority use cases, communicate status on initiative timelines, and activate multi-functional development on a future state data landscape. The Senior Director will also manage the development of internal tools focusing on product usage and operational optimization.

Initiative/Program Execution: Manage engagement with broad array of Nike programs and strategies, with accountabilities including: PMO management, program communication, team operating model, high-level scoping and prioritization, and delivery of program commitments.

Partner Management: Collaborate with key technology, analytics, program and engineering partners to bring data to life. Remove obstacles and helps align the organization to achieve success. Establish an operating model with clear accountabilities defined for each player.

Reporting and Analytics Architecture: Drive engagement with technology partners on the development of comprehensive data integration solutions ensuring full understanding of prioritized business use cases and value statements. Progress Commercial Analytics towards a centralized analytics architecture, curating a journey from current state to North Star data capabilities based on best-practice design standards, in-depth data analysis, and a governed, single source of truth.

Plan Development and Execution: Effectively craft project plans based on priorities, setting clear, measurable objectives and deploying team resources appropriately to achieve business goals.

Product Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of foundational telemetry and cataloging data products intended to track product usage and drive operational efficiencies. Partner across technology and analytics teams to centralize platform solutions and code libraries.

Communication: Clearly articulate status updates, roadmaps, vision, priorities and requirements to multi-functional leaders in both written and oral formats. Promote cross-team and cross-organizational knowledge sharing through multiple forums (e.g., user groups, tech talks, demos).

Management: Lead multidisciplinary teams and enable success by removing obstacles and developing strategic relationships throughout the business and technology. Cultivate and develop diverse talent within direct reporting team to improve performance and results.

The Senior Director will partner with Strategic Initiative Program Executives, as well as leaders across Technology, Data Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, Business, and Product Management organizations to ensure data demonstrated across the reporting and analytics community is married to business and technology changes driven by Nike strategic initiatives.


- Open to remote work, except cannot work in CO, SD, VT, and WV. Candidates will be required to relocate.

- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in computer science, technology, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering or related field, or any combination of equivalent education, experience and/or training

- Deep experience leading through enterprise level strategic initiatives, including executive communication and PMO management

- 10+ year of proven expertise in data warehousing, dimensional modeling and the ability to bring standard methodologies with regard to data management, ETL, API integrations, and data governance

- Exceptional leadership skills, marked by poise, positive influence, and the ability to lead change

- Knowledge of ERP systems and implementations with a demonstrable ability to plan and implement across all relevant project phases.

- Proven track record of progressing towards scalable, innovative, future state technology platforms and solutions

- Comprehensive experience in data pipelines and their criticality in reporting and analytics solutions

- Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS. Experience with Big Data and NoSQL technologies like Hadoop, HBase, Snowflake, Spark, Impala, Cassandra, Storm, Flume, Pig, or Hive.

- 6+ years of dynamic leadership experience in leading multi-functional, highly analytical and technical teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts

- Excellent collaboration and relationship management, and confidence and proficiency in addressing partner audiences across all levels

- Proven track record of responding to and prioritizing changing demands effectively

- Advanced critical thinking and ability to develop strategy and creatively solve complex, unique problems
