As the Apparel Product Merchandising Operations Manager, you will drive accountability and consistency of process, tools, results, and communication across Apparel & Accessories businesses, with a focus on simplification for the Product Creation & Merchandising community. You will have a close connection to process & partners across multiple business units, product engines and teams. You ask good questions and are continually learning as well as finding opportunities to share your knowledge. You enjoy collecting and understanding requirements from partners to craft and support the most efficient way to work, inclusive of scaling standard methodologies. You hold peers and partners accountable for their results with impeccable influencing skills. You can lead all aspects of and reprioritize several projects for yourself and team. You thrive in ambiguous, highly collaborative environments, and bring creative and analytical thinking to the solutions you build.

We need a forward-thinking individual, energized by sophisticated and highly cross-functional projects. Our best Operations Managers are strategic problem solvers and excellent communicators with the skills for inspiring change. Leading with a digital approach, you will engage the Global Consumer Creation community on critical initiatives and projects on behalf of the AP function to bring our growth strategies to life and you will be the hub to run cross functional operational partners to drive process innovation.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

This a unique role centered around driving future ways of working for Global Apparel and Accessories. On any given day you will be conducting workshops or meetings, either virtual or in-person, to gather insights and assist in the designing of future processes and capabilities to bring speed, efficiency, and simplicity to life. You will create strategies to bring all partners into alignment and adoption of these new processes and capabilities, enabling Product Merchandising teams to obsess product creation and assortment excellence. Through collaboration with cross-functional teammates, you will develop and present seasonal guidance to enable Apparel and Accessories teammates to effectively deliver strong results throughout Nike’s end-to-end Product Creation and Go-to-Market processes.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work across a broad group of functions including Product Management, Merchandising, Design, Development and Marketplace to deliver impact at scale. You will focus on our internal customers to find opportunities for improvement while also engaging with cross-functional partners to ensure smooth integration with enterprise-wide dependencies. As a strong collaborator with Consumer Creation Operations and Apparel leaders you will influence and drive the standardization of standard methodologies, build awareness to imbalance in workload or tools, and lead timely completion of department initiatives. Your daily connections will span across the entire product creation matrix at all levels.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or combination of relevant education, experience and training
  • At least 5 years of work experience in merchandising, management consulting, corporate strategy, operations, or a related field
  • Proven track record to partner on cross-functional teams supporting large scale change across an organization.
  • Passionate about process potential for improving planning, execution and work/life balance
  • Excellent problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Compelling, high-impact storyteller with the ability to influence at multiple levels throughout the organization.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
  • Knowledge of product creation, design thinking and merchandising strongly preferred
  • Strong experience with digital tools and digital approach
