The Strategic Initiatives team’s mission is to transform our Selling Partner’s customer experience and operational processes by isolating our investments on the business capabilities we aim to offer our customers. We are responsible for delivering the delivering end-to-end, customer-focused solutions to enable over 2 million Selling Partners worldwide to manage and grow their business. Our org is foundational to the experience of our Selling Partners, managing the core infrastructure for Seller Central and Vendor Central including the site building features, accounts, and authorization models which fuel world class seller applications.
We are looking for an exceptional, innovative UX Designer to join our team to help shape the future of our navigation experience for across our business applications within Selling Partner Services. The role requires deep understanding of our customer’s needs and thinking big about how we can make the customer navigation experience across our business applications easy and delightful.
Your role will be to support the evolution of the navigation experience with leadership using design best practices, product strategy, and design acumen. You will be expected to be a thought leader, working collaboratively with a strong team of engineers, product managers, business partners, and leadership in a highly visible role producing user experiences for our Selling Partner experience. The ideal candidate will have a highly refined design aesthetic and a proven ability to dive into the details while maintaining a strategic big-picture vision. In addition, you hold a high bar and inspire your team to do the same.

This role is multifaceted, covering the full range of design work including building libraries for design tools, contributing and maintaining design documentation, driving alignment across partners, defining design guidelines and standards, feature prioritization, and feature definition.

· Define, develop and socialize a clear vision for design innovation and thinking big while not sacrificing speed of delivery.
· Work cross-functionally to drive design solutions from early concept through final implementation and iteration.
· Participate and lead research initiatives, using data and customer insights to inform design solutions with senior leaders.
· Lead brainstorming and critique sessions that foster big thinking while raising the bar on the details.
· Use systems-level design thinking.

This role is open to remote, preferably near Amazon offices in Seattle, New York, Detroit, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Phoenix or Portland


Basic Requirements:
· 8+ years of experience as a UX and Visual designer with a strong portfolio of user-centered visual design work.
· Experience creating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile device.
· Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrate business acumen, including experience measuring and calibrating the impact of your work against key business and customer experience goals.
· Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms.
· Experience with eCommerce, search, and other major application types and their UX patterns.
· Working in a collaborative team, white-boarding and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
· Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
· Proficiency in design software such as Sketch, Figma.
